What is Two Factor Authentication?
Also known as 2FA, Two Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to authenticate users when they log into Wise-Sync and Wise-Pay.
- The first layer consists of account details that a user must remember
- Your Username and Password
- The second layer consists of something that the user has (i.e. a physical object)
- In this case, a mobile device
- The user's device must have a two factor authentication app such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator installed. These apps are available from the app store applicable to the user's device.

How to Activate 2FA
Contact support to activate 2FA for your Company's Account and advise whether 2FA needs to be Required or Optional
- Required - All users in your account must configure 2FA for their user profile at next login once 2FA is activated for your Company's account.
- Optional - All users have the option to enable 2FA in their user settings.
Account Configuration
Account Admins can configure whether 2FA is Required or Optional:
- In Wise-Sync, go to your Account > Options
- Set 2FA Mode to either Required or Optional
- Click Save
User Profile Configuration
